चकर्ष सहसा कृष्णस्
तिर्यग्-गतम् उलूखलम्
कर्षणेन स-मूलौ द्वौ
पेततुर् भूमि-मण्डले
cakarṣa sahasā kṛṣṇas
tiryag-gatam ulūkhalam
karṣaṇena sa-mūlau dvau
petatur bhūmi-maṇḍale
cakarṣa—pulled; sahasā—at once; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; tiryak-gatam—sideways; ulūkhalam—grinding mortar; karṣaṇena—by pulling; sa-mūlau—with their roots; dvau—both; petatuḥ—fell; bhūmi-maṇḍale—to the ground.
English translation of verse 1.19.16:
Kṛṣṇa tugged at the sideways grinding mortar. By His tug the two trees were uprooted and fell to the ground.
