हैयङ्गवीनं सततं नवीनं
याचन् स मातुर् मधुरं ब्रुवन् सः
आदाय हस्ते ऽश्मसुतं रुषा सु-धीर्
बिभेद कृष्णो दधि-मन्थ-पात्रम्
haiyaṅgavīnaṃ satataṃ navīnaṃ
yācan sa mātur madhuraṃ bruvan saḥ
ādāya haste 'śmasutaṃ ruṣā su-dhīr
bibheda kṛṣṇo dadhi-mantha-pātram
haiyaṅgavīnam—butter; satatam—repeatedly; navīnam—fresh; yācan—begging; saḥ—He; mātuḥ—of His mother; madhuram—sweetly; bruvan—saying; saḥ—He; ādāya—taking; haste—in His hand; aśmasutam—emerald; ruṣā—with anger; su-dhīḥ—intelligent; bibheda—broke; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; dadhi—yogurt; mantha—churning; pātram—jug.
English translation of verse 1.19.5:
After again and again begging His mother for some fresh butter, intelligent Kṛṣṇa finally took an emerald in His hand and angrily broke the yogurt-churn.
