The Garga-samhita Verse 1.18.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 18 (Vision of the Universal Form) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

बलभद्रे च वदति
तदा सा नन्द-गेहिनी
करे गृहित्वा स्व-सुतं
भीरु-नेत्रम् उवाच ह

balabhadre ca vadati
tadā sā nanda-gehinī
kare gṛhitvā sva-sutaṃ
bhīru-netram uvāca ha

balabhadre—when Balarāma; ca—also; vadati—said; tadāthen; sā—she; nanda-gehinī—Nanda's wife; kareby the hand; gṛhitvā—taking; sva—own; sutam—son; bhīrufrightened; netram—eyes; uvāca ha—said.

English translation of verse 1.18.14:

When Balarāma also said it, Nanda's wife took her frightened-eyed son by the hand and spoke to Him.
