The Garga-samhita Verse 1.17.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 17 (Description of the Yogurt Theft) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

भग्न-भाण्डात् सर्व-गव्यं
वहद् भूमौ मनोहरम्
जघास सुबलो मर्कैर्
बालकैः सह माधवः

bhagna-bhāṇḍāt sarva-gavyaṃ
vahad bhūmau manoharam
jaghāsa subalo markair
bālakaiḥ saha mādhavaḥ

bhagnabroken; bhāṇḍāt—from the jar; sarvaall; gavyam—the yogurt; vahat—flowing; bhūmau—to the ground; manoharam—charming; jaghāsa—ate; subalaḥSubala; markaiḥ—with the monkeys; bālakaiḥ—the boys; sahawith; mādhavaḥ—Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 1.17.31:

As all the beautiful yogurt flowed from the broken jug to the ground, Kṛṣṇa, Subala, the boys, and some monkeys, all ate it.
