The Garga-samhita Verse 1.17.28, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 17 (Description of the Yogurt Theft) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

वयस्यैर् बालकैः सार्धं
पार्श्व-कुड्ये गृहस्य च
हस्ताद् धस्तं सङ्गृहीत्वा
शनैः कृष्णो विवेश ह

vayasyair bālakaiḥ sārdhaṃ
pārśva-kuḍye gṛhasya ca
hastād dhastaṃ saṅgṛhītvā
śanaiḥ kṛṣṇo viveśa ha

vayasyaiḥ—with His friends; bālakaiḥ—the boys; sārdham—with; pārśvaside; kuḍye—on the wall; gṛhasya—of the house; ca—also; hastāt—by a hand; hastam—to a hand; saṅgṛhītvā—grasping; śanaiḥ—gradually; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; viveśa ha—entered.

English translation of verse 1.17.28:

Grasping it with one hand after another, Kṛṣṇa and His boy friends gradually scaled the outer wall and entered the courtyard.
