श्री-यशोदोवाच
गवां कोटिर् गृहे मे ऽस्ति
गोरसैर् अर्दिताचला
न जाने दधि-मुङ् बालो
नात्ति सो ऽत्र कदाचन
śrī-yaśodovāca
gavāṃ koṭir gṛhe me 'sti
gorasair arditācalā
na jāne dadhi-muṅ bālo
nātti so 'tra kadācana
śrī-yaśodā uvāca—Śrī Yaśodā said; gavām—of cows; koṭiḥ—ten million; gṛhe—in the home; me—of me; asti—is; gorasaiḥ—with milk; arditā—overcome; acalā—cannot move; na—not; jāne—I know; dadhi—milk; muk—in the mouth; bālaḥ—child; na—not; atti—eats; saḥ—He; atra—here; kadācana—ever.
English translation of verse 1.17.24:
Śrī Yaśodā said: I have ten million cows. There is so much yogurt in the house I cannot move. I do not know why my little boy never drinks any of the yogurt here.
