The Garga-samhita Verse 1.17.13, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
तदा यशोदा-रोहिण्यौ
सुत-कल्यान-हेतवे
वस्त्र-रत्न-नवान्नानां
दानं नित्यं च चक्रतुः

śrī-nārada uvāca
tadā yaśodā-rohiṇyau
suta-kalyāna-hetave
vastra-ratna-navānnānāṃ
dānaṃ nityaṃ ca cakratuḥ

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tadāthen; yaśodā-rohiṇyau—Yaśodā and Rohiṇī; sutaof the son; kalyāna-hetave—for the auspiciousness; vastragarments; ratnajewels; navanew; annānām—and grains; dānaṃ-charity; nityam—regularly; ca—and; cakratuḥ—did.

English translation of verse 1.17.13:

Then, to bring auspiciousness to their sons, Yaśodā and Rohiṇī regularly gave garments, jewels, and new grains in charity.
