श्री-गोप्य ऊचुः
क्रीडार्थं चापलं ह्य् एनं
मा बहिः कारयाङ्गनात्
बाल-केलिं दुग्ध-मुखं
काक-पक्ष-धरं शुभे
śrī-gopya ūcuḥ
krīḍārthaṃ cāpalaṃ hy enaṃ
mā bahiḥ kārayāṅganāt
bāla-keliṃ dugdha-mukhaṃ
kāka-pakṣa-dharaṃ śubhe
śrī-gopyaḥ ūcuḥ—the gopīs said; krīḍā—playing; artham—for the purpose; cāpalam—restless; hi—indeed; enam—He; mā—don't; bahiḥ—outside; kāraya—take; aṅganāt—from the courtyard; bāla—child's; kelim—playing; dugdha—milk; mukham—in His mouth; kāka—crow's; pakṣa—feathers; dharam—wearing; śubhe—O beautiful one.
English translation of verse 1.17.10:
The gopīs said: O beautiful one, don't take this restless and playful boy decorated with crows' feathers and the milk still in His mouth out of the courtyard to play.
