The Garga-samhita Verse 1.17.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 17 (Description of the Yogurt Theft) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
अतः बालौ कृष्ण-रामौ
गौर-श्यामौ मनोहरौ
लीलया चक्रतुर् अलं
सुन्दरं नन्द-मन्दिरम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
ataḥ bālau kṛṣṇa-rāmau
gaura-śyāmau manoharau
līlayā cakratur alaṃ
sundaraṃ nanda-mandiram

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ataḥ—then; bālau—the two boys; kṛṣṇa-rāmau—Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; gaura-śyāmau—fair and dark; manoharau—charming; līlayā—with pastimes; cakratuḥ—did; alammuch; sundaram—handsome; nanda-mandiram—Nanda's palace.

English translation of verse 1.17.1:

Śrī Nārada said: With Their pastimes the two handsome fair and dark boys, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, made Nanda's palace beautiful.
