राधा हरेः पीत-पटं च वंशीं
वेत्रं गृहीत्वा सहसा हसन्ती
देहीति वंशीं वदतो हरेश् च
जगाद राधा कमलं नु देहि
rādhā hareḥ pīta-paṭaṃ ca vaṃśīṃ
vetraṃ gṛhītvā sahasā hasantī
dehīti vaṃśīṃ vadato hareś ca
jagāda rādhā kamalaṃ nu dehi
rādhā—Rādhā; hareḥ—of Lord Hari; pīta—yellow; paṭam—garment; ca—and; vaṃśīm—flute; vetram—and stick; gṛhītvā—taking; sahasā—suddenly; hasantī— laughing; dehi—give; iti—thus; vaṃśīm—the flute; vadataḥ—saying; hareḥ—of Lord Hari; ca—also; jagāda—said; rādhā—Rādhā; kamalam—the lotus; nu—certainly; dehi—give.
English translation of verse 1.16.48:
Laughing Rādhā quickly took Lord Hari's flute, stick, and yellow cloth. When Lord Hari said, "Give back My flute!" She mocked Him and said, "You give back My lotus!"
