श्री-रास-रङ्गे जन-वर्जिते परे
रेमे हरी रास-रसेण राधया
वृन्दावने भृङ्ग-मयूर-कूजल्-
लते चरत्य् एव रतीश्वरः परः
śrī-rāsa-raṅge jana-varjite pare
reme harī rāsa-raseṇa rādhayā
vṛndāvane bhṛṅga-mayūra-kūjal-
late caraty eva ratīśvaraḥ paraḥ
śrī—beautiful; rāsa—of the rāsa dance; raṅge—in the arena; jana—people; varjite—without; pare—transcendental; reme—enjoyed; hariḥ—Lord Hari; rāsa-raseṇa—with the nectar of the rāsa dance; rādhayā—with Rādhā; vṛndāvane—in Vṛndāvana; bhṛṅga—bees; mayūra—peacocks; kūjat—cooing; late—vine; carati—moves; eva—indeed; rati—of amorous pastimes; īśvaraḥ—the master; paraḥ—transcendental.
English translation of verse 1.16.45:
In the beautiful secluded rāsa-dance arena Lord Hari enjoyed the nectar of the rāsa dance with Śrī Rādhā. Lord Hari, the transcendental master of amorous pastimes, walked in Vṛndāvana forest filled with flowering vines and the sounds of peacocks and bees.
