The Garga-samhita Verse 1.16.44, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. यथा तमालः कल-धौत-वल्ल्या
घने यथा चञ्चलया चकास्ति
नीलो ऽद्रि-राजो निकषाश्म-खन्या
श्री-राधयाद्यास्तु तया रमण्या

yathā tamālaḥ kala-dhauta-vallyā
ghane yathā cañcalayā cakāsti
nīlo 'dri-rājo nikaṣāśma-khanyā
śrī-rādhayādyāstu tayā ramaṇyā

yathā—as; tamālaḥa tamala tree; kala-dhauta-vallyā—with a vine of golden flowers; ghanaḥa dark cloud; yathā—as; cañcalayā—with lightning; cakāsti—shines; nīlaḥdark; adriof mountains; rājaḥking; nikaṣāśma-khanyā—with a mine of nikaṣa stones; śrī-rādhayā—with Śrī Rādhā; adyanow; astuis; tayāwith Her; ramaṇyā—beautiful.

English translation of verse 1.16.44:

As a tamāla tree with a vine of golden flowers, as a dark cloud with a lightning flash, and as a dark mountain with a mine of nikaṣa stones, so Lord Hari was with beautiful Śrī Rādhā.
