ततो निकुञ्जेषु चतुर्-विधान्नं
दिव्यं मनोज्ञं प्रियया प्रदत्तम्
जघास कृष्णः प्रहसन् परात्मा
कृष्णेन दत्तं क्रमुकं च राधा
tato nikuñjeṣu catur-vidhānnaṃ
divyaṃ manojñaṃ priyayā pradattam
jaghāsa kṛṣṇaḥ prahasan parātmā
kṛṣṇena dattaṃ kramukaṃ ca rādhā
tataḥ—then; nikuñjeṣu—in the forest groves; catur-vidha—four kinds; annam—of food; divyam—divine; manojñam—delicious; priyayā—by His beloved; pradattam—given; jaghāsa—ate; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; prahasan—laughing; parātmā—the Supreme Lord; kṛṣṇena—by Kṛṣṇa; dattam—given; kramukam—betelnuts; ca—also; rādhā—Rādhā.
English translation of verse 1.16.40:
Then, in the forest groves the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Kṛṣṇa, ate four kinds of delicious divine foods His beloved offered, and Śrī Rādhā chewed betelnuts Kṛṣṇa offered.
