मृदङ्ग-वीणा-मुरु-यष्टि-वेणवः
शङ्खानका दुन्दुभयः स-तालकाः
नेदुर् मुहुर् देव-वरैर् दिवि स्थितैर्
जयेत्य् अभून् मङ्गल-शब्दम् उच्चकैः
mṛdaṅga-vīṇā-muru-yaṣṭi-veṇavaḥ
śaṅkhānakā dundubhayaḥ sa-tālakāḥ
nedur muhur deva-varair divi sthitair
jayety abhūn maṅgala-śabdam uccakaiḥ
mṛdaṅga-vīṇā-muru-yaṣṭi-veṇavaḥ—mṛdaṅgas, vīṇās, murus, yaṣṭis, and veṇus; saṅkhānakā—śaṅkhas and anakas; dundubhayaḥ—dundubhis; sa-tālakāḥ—with tālakas; neduḥ—sounded; muhuḥ—again and again; deva-varaiḥ—by the great demigods; divi—in heaven; sthitaiḥ—staying; jaya—glories!; iti-thus; abhūt—was; maṅgala—auspicious; śabdam—sound; uccakaiḥ—loudly.
English translation of verse 1.16.37:
Again and again the great demigods in heaven sounded many mṛdaṅgas, vīṇās, murus, yaṣṭis, veṇus, śaṅkhas, anakas, and tālakas. Calling out "Glory!" they made an auspicious sound.
