सम्वासयाम् आस सु-पीठयोश् च तौ
कृताञ्जली मौन-युतौ पितामहः
तौ पाठयाम् आस तु पञ्च-मन्त्रकं
समर्प्य राधां च पितेव कन्यकाम्
samvāsayām āsa su-pīṭhayoś ca tau
kṛtāñjalī mauna-yutau pitāmahaḥ
tau pāṭhayām āsa tu pañca-mantrakaṃ
samarpya rādhāṃ ca piteva kanyakām
samvāsayām āsa—placed; su-pīṭhayoḥ—on two thrones; ca—also; tau—Them; kṛtāñjalī—with folded hands; mauna-yutau—silent; pitāmahaḥ—Brahmā; tau—Them; pāṭhayām āsa—recited; tu—indeed; pañca-mantrakam—five mantras; samarpya—giving; rādhām—Rādhā; ca—and; pitā—a father; iva—like; kanyakām—a daughter.
English translation of verse 1.16.35:
Placing the silent divine couple on two thrones, with folded hands Brahmā recited five mantras. Then, as a father gives away his daughter, Brahmā gave away Śrī Rādhā.
