तदाम्बराद् देव-वरो विधिः प्रभुः
समागतस् तस्य परस्य सम्मुखे
नत्वा तद्-अङ्घ्री ह्य् उशती गिराभिः
कृताञ्जलिश् चारु चतुर्-मुखो जगौ
tadāmbarād deva-varo vidhiḥ prabhuḥ
samāgatas tasya parasya sammukhe
natvā tad-aṅghrī hy uśatī girābhiḥ
kṛtāñjaliś cāru catur-mukho jagau
tadā—then; ambarāt—from the sky; deva-varaḥ—the best of the demigods; vidhiḥ—Brahmā; prabhuḥ—Lord; samāgataḥ—came; tasya—of Him; parasya—the Supreme; sammukhe—facing; natvā—bowing down; tad-aṅghrī—at His feet; hi—" uśatī girābhiḥ—with sweet words; kṛtāñjaliḥ—with folded hands; cāru—eloquently; catur-mukhaḥ—four-headed Brahmā; jagau—said.
English translation of verse 1.16.21:
Then Lord Brahmā, the best of the demigods, came from the sky. Bowing down before Lord Kṛṣṇa, with folded hands he eloquently and sweetly spoke.
