तदा निकुञ्जो ऽपि निजं वपुर् दधत्
सभा-युतं प्रङ्गन-दिव्य-मण्डपम्
वसन्त-माधुर्य-धरं मधुव्रतैर्
मयूर-पारावत-कोकिल-ध्वनिम्

tadā nikuñjo 'pi nijaṃ vapur dadhat
sabhā-yutaṃ praṅgana-divya-maṇḍapam
vasanta-mādhurya-dharaṃ madhuvratair
mayūra-pārāvata-kokila-dhvanim

tadāthen; nikuñjaḥforest grove; api—also; nijam—own; vapuḥform; dadhāt—manifested; sabhāassembly-halls; yutam—with; praṅgana—courtyards; divyasplendid; maṇḍapam—pavilions; vasantaof spring; mādhuryasweetness; dharam—holding; madhuvrataiḥ—with bees; mayūrapeacocks; pārāvatapārāvatas; kokilaand cuckoos; dhvanim—the sound.

English translation of verse 1.16.16:

Then the forest grove assumed its real form with many assembly houses, courtyards, splendid pavilions, bumblebees, and the cooing of peacocks, pārāvatas, and cuckoos. It was filled with the sweetness of spring.
