वृन्दावनं दिव्य-वपुर् दधानं
वृक्षैर् वरैः काम-दुघैः सहैव
कलिन्द-पुत्री च सुवर्ण-सौधैः
श्री-रत्न-सोपानमयी बभूव

vṛndāvanaṃ divya-vapur dadhānaṃ
vṛkṣair varaiḥ kāma-dughaiḥ sahaiva
kalinda-putrī ca suvarṇa-saudhaiḥ
śrī-ratna-sopānamayī babhūva

vṛndāvanam—Vṛndāvana; divyatranscendental and splendid; vapuḥform; dadhānam—manifesting; vṛkṣaiḥ—with trees; varaiḥ—excellent; kāma-dughaiḥ—fulfilling all desires; sahawith; eva—indeed; kalinda-putrīthe Yamunā; ca—also; suvarṇagolden; saudhaiḥ—with palaces; śrī—beautiful; ratnajewel; sopānamayī—with staircases; babhūva—became.

English translation of verse 1.16.14:

Vṛndāvana forest manifested a splendid transcendental form with beautiful desire-trees, and the Yamunā's shore had jewel steps and golden palaces.
