त्वं पर्यटन्न् अर्क इव
त्रि-लोकीं दिव्य-दर्शनः
वरो ऽनया समो यो वै
तस्मै दास्यामि कन्यकाम्
tvaṃ paryaṭann arka iva
tri-lokīṃ divya-darśanaḥ
varo 'nayā samo yo vai
tasmai dāsyāmi kanyakām
tvam—you; paryaṭan—wandering; arkaḥ—the sun; iva—like; tri-lokīm—the three worlds; divya—splendid; darśanaḥ—sight; varaḥ—husband; anayā—with Her; samaḥ—equal; yaḥ—who; vai—indeed; tasmai—to Him; dāsyāmi—I will give; kanyakām—daughter.
English translation of verse 1.15.49:
Like the sun, your goodness can travel everywhere in the three worlds. I wish to give my daughter to a splendid husband who will be Her equal.
