The Garga-samhita Verse 1.15.36, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 15 (Revelation of the Universal Form to Nanda’s Wife) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

सो ऽयं तव शिउर् जातो
भारावतरणाय च
कंसादीनां वधार्थाय
भक्तानां रक्षणाय च

so 'yaṃ tava śiur jāto
bhārāvataraṇāya ca
kaṃsādīnāṃ vadhārthāya
bhaktānāṃ rakṣaṇāya ca

saḥ ayamthis person; tava—your; śiuḥ—son; jātaḥborn; bhāraburden; avataraṇāya—for removing; ca—and; kaṃsa-ādīnām—of the demons beginning with Kaṃsa; vadha-arthāya—for killing; bhaktānām—of the devotees; rakṣaṇāya—for protection; ca—also.

English translation of verse 1.15.36:

That same Supreme Personality of Godhead is now born as your child. He has come to remove the earth's burden, to kill the demons headed by Kaṃsa, and to protect the devotees.
