श्री-नारद उवाच
द्रोणो नन्दो ऽभवद् भूमौ
यशोदा सा धरा स्मृता
कृष्णो ब्रह्म-वचः कर्तुं
प्राप्तो घोषे पितुः पुरात्
śrī-nārada uvāca
droṇo nando 'bhavad bhūmau
yaśodā sā dharā smṛtā
kṛṣṇo brahma-vacaḥ kartuṃ
prāpto ghoṣe pituḥ purāt
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; droṇaḥ—Droṇa; nandaḥ—Nanda; abhavat—became; bhūmau—on the earth; yaśodā—Yaśodā; sā—she; dharā—Dharā; smṛtā—remembered; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; brahma-vacaḥ—the words of Brahmā; kartum—to do; prāptaḥ—attained; ghoṣe—in Vraja; pituḥ—of the father; purāt—from the city.
English translation of verse 1.15.14:
Śrī Nārada said: Droṇa was born as Nanda on the earth and Dharā was born as Yaśodā. To fulfill Brahmā's words, Lord Kṛṣṇa went from His father's palace to the village of Vraja.
