श्री-ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः
दामोदरः पातु पादौ
जानूनि विस्तर-श्रवाः
ऊरू पातु हरिर् नाभिं
परिपूर्णतमः स्वयम्
śrī-brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ
dāmodaraḥ pātu pādau
jānūni vistara-śravāḥ
ūrū pātu harir nābhiṃ
paripūrṇatamaḥ svayam
śrī-brāhmaṇāḥ ūcuḥ—the brāhmaṇas said; dāmodaraḥ—Lord Dāmodara; pātu—may protect; pādau—feet; jānūni—knees; vistara-śravāḥ—Lord Vistara-śravāḥ; ūrū—thighs; pātu—may protect; hariḥ—Lord Hari; nābhim—navel; paripūrṇatamaḥ svayam—the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
English translation of verse 1.14.54:
The brāhmaṇas said: May Lord Dāmodara protect Your feet. May Lord Vistaraśravā protect Your knees. May Lord Hari protect Your thighs. May the Supreme Personality of Godhead protect Your navel.
