वज्र-साराश् च ये दैत्या
निर्दया घोर-दर्शनाः
वैरं कुर्वन्ति मे बाले
दैव दैव कुतः सुखम्
vajra-sārāś ca ye daityā
nirdayā ghora-darśanāḥ
vairaṃ kurvanti me bāle
daiva daiva kutaḥ sukham
vajra—as a thunderbolt; sārāḥ—strong; ca—aslo; ye—which; daityāḥ—demons; nirdayāḥ—merciless; ghora—terrible; darśanāḥ—to see; vairam—hatred; kurvanti—do; me—to my; bāle—son; daiva—O fate; daiva—O fate; kutaḥ—where?; sukham—happiness.
English translation of verse 1.14.46:
Many demons who are strong as thunderbolts and terrible to see hate my son.
