The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.46, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

वज्र-साराश् च ये दैत्या
निर्दया घोर-दर्शनाः
वैरं कुर्वन्ति मे बाले
दैव दैव कुतः सुखम्

vajra-sārāś ca ye daityā
nirdayā ghora-darśanāḥ
vairaṃ kurvanti me bāle
daiva daiva kutaḥ sukham

vajraas a thunderbolt; sārāḥstrong; ca—aslo; ye—which; daityāḥ—demons; nirdayāḥ—merciless; ghoraterrible; darśanāḥ—to see; vairam—hatred; kurvanti—do; me—to my; bāle—son; daivaO fate; daiva—O fate; kutaḥ—where?; sukham—happiness.

English translation of verse 1.14.46:

Many demons who are strong as thunderbolts and terrible to see hate my son.

O fate, fate, how will we be happy?
