The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.45, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

अद्य मृत्यु-मुखान् मुक्तो
भविष्यत् किम् अतः परं
किं करोमि क्व गच्छामि
कुत्र वासो भवेद् अतः

adya mṛtyu-mukhān mukto
bhaviṣyat kim ataḥ paraṃ
kiṃ karomi kva gacchāmi
kutra vāso bhaved ataḥ

adyatoday; mṛtyuof death; mukhān—from the mouth; muktaḥfreed; bhaviṣyatwould be; kim—what?; ataḥ param—then; kim—what?; karomi—I do; kva—where?; gacchāmi—I go; kutra—where?; vāsaḥ—residence; bhavet—would be; ataḥ—then.

English translation of verse 1.14.45:

Today He escaped from death's mouth. If He had died what would have happened? What would I do? Where would I go? Where would I live then?
