The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-बहुलाश्व उवाच
को ऽयं पूर्वं तु कुशली
दैत्य उत्कच-नाम-भाक्
अहो कृष्ण-पाद-स्पर्शाद्
गतो मोक्षं महा-मुने

śrī-bahulāśva uvāca
ko 'yaṃ pūrvaṃ tu kuśalī
daitya utkaca-nāma-bhāk
aho kṛṣṇa-pāda-sparśād
gato mokṣaṃ mahā-mune

śrī-bahulāśvaḥ uvāca—Śrī Bahulāśva said; kaḥ—who?; ayam—he; pūrvam—before; tu—indeed; kuśalī—fortunate; daityaḥdemon; utkaca-nāma-bhāk—named Utkaca; ahaḥ—oh; kṛṣṇaof Lord Kṛṣṇa; pāda—of the foot; sparśāt—from the touch; gataattained; mokṣam—liberation; mahāgreat; mune—O sage.

English translation of verse 1.14.17:

O great sage, in his previous birth who was this fortunate demon named Utakaca, who attained liberation by the touch of Lord Kṛṣṇa's foot?
