श्री-बहुलाश्व उवाच
को ऽयं पूर्वं तु कुशली
दैत्य उत्कच-नाम-भाक्
अहो कृष्ण-पाद-स्पर्शाद्
गतो मोक्षं महा-मुने
śrī-bahulāśva uvāca
ko 'yaṃ pūrvaṃ tu kuśalī
daitya utkaca-nāma-bhāk
aho kṛṣṇa-pāda-sparśād
gato mokṣaṃ mahā-mune
śrī-bahulāśvaḥ uvāca—Śrī Bahulāśva said; kaḥ—who?; ayam—he; pūrvam—before; tu—indeed; kuśalī—fortunate; daityaḥ—demon; utkaca-nāma-bhāk—named Utkaca; ahaḥ—oh; kṛṣṇa—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; pāda—of the foot; sparśāt—from the touch; gata—attained; mokṣam—liberation; mahā—great; mune—O sage.

O great sage, in his previous birth who was this fortunate demon named Utakaca, who attained liberation by the touch of Lord Kṛṣṇa's foot?
