The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.13, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

नन्दादयो व्रज-जना व्रज-गोपिकाश् च
सर्वे समेत्य युगपत् पृथुकांस् तद् आहुः
एष स्वयं च पतितः सकटः कथं हि
जानीथ हे व्रज-सुताः सु-गताश् च यूयम्

nandādayo vraja-janā vraja-gopikāś ca
sarve sametya yugapat pṛthukāṃs tad āhuḥ
eṣa svayaṃ ca patitaḥ sakaṭaḥ kathaṃ hi
jānītha he vraja-sutāḥ su-gatāś ca yūyam

nandawith Nanda; ādayaḥ—beginning; vraja-janāthe people of Vraja; vraja-gopikāḥthe gopīs of Vraja; ca—and; sarve—all; sametya—going; yugapatat the same moment; pṛthukān—to the children; tat—this; āhuḥ—said; eṣaḥ—this; svayam—by itself; ca—and; patitaḥ—fallen; sakaṭaḥ—cart; katham—how?; hi—indeed; jānītha—you know; he—he; vraja—of Vraja; sutāḥ—O children; su-gatāḥ—present; ca—also; yūyam—you all.

English translation of verse 1.14.13:

Headed by Nanda, the men and gopīs of Vraja at once converged on that place and asked the children, "How could this cart have fallen by itself? O children of Vraja, you were here. You know."
