श्री-नारद उवाच
साधु पृष्टं त्वया राजन्
भवता कृष्ण-धर्मिणा
सङ्गमः खलु साधूनां
सर्वेषां वितनोति शम्
śrī-nārada uvāca
sādhu pṛṣṭaṃ tvayā rājan
bhavatā kṛṣṇa-dharmiṇā
saṅgamaḥ khalu sādhūnāṃ
sarveṣāṃ vitanoti śam
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; sādhu—well; pṛṣṭam—asked; tvayā—by you; rājan—O king; bhavatā—by you; kṛṣṇa-dharmiṇā—a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa; saṅgamaḥ—association; khalu—indeed; sādhūnām—of saintly devotees; sarveṣām—all; vitanoti—gives; śam—happiness and auspiciousness.
English translation of verse 1.14.7:
Śrī Nārada said: O king, as a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa, you have asked a very good question. Association with saintly devotees brings happiness and auspicious to everyone.
