श्री-कृष्णस् त्व् अर्भकः साक्षाद्
अद्भुतो भक्त-वत्सलः
अग्रे चकार किं चित्रं
चरितं वद मे मुने

śrī-kṛṣṇas tv arbhakaḥ sākṣād
adbhuto bhakta-vatsalaḥ
agre cakāra kiṃ citraṃ
caritaṃ vada me mune

śrī-kṛṣṇaḥŚrī Kṛṣṇa; tu—indeed; arbhakaḥinfant; sākṣātdirectly; adbhutaḥ—wonderful; bhaktato the devotees; vatsalaḥ—affectionate; agre—in the first; cakāradid; kim—what?; citram—wonderful; caritam—activities; vadaplease tell; me—me; mune—O sage.

English translation of verse 1.14.6:

What wonderful activities did wonderful infant Kṛṣṇa, who loves His devotees, do? O sage, please tell me.
