एतादृशो यदि भवेद्
बालस् तं हि शुचि-स्मितम्
पाययामि स्तनं तेन
प्रसन्नं मे मनस् तदा
etādṛśo yadi bhaved
bālas taṃ hi śuci-smitam
pāyayāmi stanaṃ tena
prasannaṃ me manas tadā
etādṛśaḥ—like that; yadi—if; bhavet—would be; bālaḥ—boy; tam—Him; hi—certainly; śuci—pure; smitam—smile; pāyayāmi—I give to drink; stanam—breast; tena—by that; prasannam—happy; me—my; manaḥ—heart; tadā—then.
English translation of verse 1.13.31:
(She thought:) If I had a son like Him, then I would give that gloriously smiling son the milk from my breast to drink. In that way my heart would become happy.
