श्री-नारद उवाच
बलि-यज्ञे वामनस्य
दृष्ट्वा रूपम् अतः परम्
बलि-कन्या रत्नमाला
पुत्र-स्नेहं चकार ह
śrī-nārada uvāca
bali-yajñe vāmanasya
dṛṣṭvā rūpam ataḥ param
bali-kanyā ratnamālā
putra-snehaṃ cakāra ha
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; bali—of Bali Mahārāja; yajñe—in the sacrifice; vāmanasya—of Lord Vāmana; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; rūpam—the form; ataḥ param—then; bali—of Bali; kanyā—the daughter; ratnamālā—Ratnamālā; putra—to a son; sneham—affection; cakāra ha—did.
English translation of verse 1.13.30:
Seeing the form of Lord Vāmana in Bali Mahāraja's yajña, Bali's daughter Ratnamālā felt for the Lord (a mother's) love for her son.
