छित्वा कुठारैस् तद्-देहं
गोपाः श्री-यमुना-तटे
अनेकाश् च चिताः कृत्वा
दहयाम् आसुर् एव तम्
chitvā kuṭhārais tad-dehaṃ
gopāḥ śrī-yamunā-taṭe
anekāś ca citāḥ kṛtvā
dahayām āsur eva tam
chitvā—cutting; kuṭhāraiḥ—with axes; tad-deham—her body; gopāḥ—the gopas; śrī-yamunā-taṭe—on the Yamunā's shore; anekāḥ—many; ca—also; citāḥ—pyres; kṛtvā—making; dahayām āsuḥ—burned; eva—indeed; tam—it.
English translation of verse 1.13.26:
Cutting it up with axes, and making many pyres by Śrī Yamunā's shore, the gopas burned her body.
