अनेन रक्षां कृत्वास्य
गोपीभिः श्री-यशोमती
पाययित्वा स्तनं दानं
विप्रेभ्यः प्रददौ महत्
anena rakṣāṃ kṛtvāsya
gopībhiḥ śrī-yaśomatī
pāyayitvā stanaṃ dānaṃ
viprebhyaḥ pradadau mahat
anena—by it; rakṣām—protection; kṛtvā—doing; asya—of Him; gopībhiḥ—by the gopīs; śrī-yaśomatī—Śrī Yaśodā; pāyayitvā—causing to drink; stanam—breast; dānam—charity; viprebhyaḥ—to the brāhmaṇas; pradadau—gave; mahat—great.
English translation of verse 1.13.24:
In this way Śrī Yaśodā and the gopīs gave protection to (infant Kṛṣṇa). Then Śrī Yaśodā gave Him her breast milk to drink, and then she gave great charity to the brāhmaṇas.
