The Garga-samhita Verses 1.13.11-12, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 13 (The Liberation of Putana) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

अस्या अङ्गुलि-गो बालो
न जीवति कदाचन
तस्या उरसि सानन्दं
क्रीडन्तं सु-स्मितं शिशुम्
दुग्धं पित्वा जृम्भमानं
तं दृष्ट्वा जगृहुः स्त्रियः
यशोदया च रोहिण्या
निधायोरसि विस्मिताः
asyā aṅguli-go bālo
na jīvati kadācana
tasyā urasi sānandaṃ
krīḍantaṃ su-smitaṃ śiśum
dugdhaṃ pitvā jṛmbhamānaṃ
taṃ dṛṣṭvā jagṛhuḥ striyaḥ
yaśodayā ca rohiṇyā
nidhāyorasi vismitāḥ
asyāḥ—of her; aṅguli-gaḥ—gone on a finger; bālaḥ—infant; na—not; jīvati—lives; kadācana—ever; tasyāḥ—of her; urasi—on the breast; sānandam—happily; krīḍantam—playing; su-smitam—smiling; śiśum—child; dugdham—milk; pitvā—having drunk; jṛmbhamānam—yawning; tam—Him; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; jagṛhuḥ—grabbed; striyaḥ—the women; yaśodayā—by Yaśodā; ca—also; rohiṇyā—by Rohiṇī; nidhāya—placing; urasi—on the breast; vismitāḥ—astonished.
English translation of verses 1.13.11-12:
"The child was crushed by her fingers. He could not have remained alive."
Then, seeing the smiling infant yawn after drinking the demoness' milk, and then play on her breast, the astonished women, along with Yaśodā and Rohiṇia, grabbed Him, and pulled Him down from the breast.
