निधिः सिद्धिश् च वृद्धिश् च
भुक्तिर् मुक्तिर् गृहे गृहे
वीथ्यां वीथ्यां लुठन्तीव
तद्-इच्छा कस्यचिन् न हि

nidhiḥ siddhiś ca vṛddhiś ca
bhuktir muktir gṛhe gṛhe
vīthyāṃ vīthyāṃ luṭhantīva
tad-icchā kasyacin na hi

nidhiḥwealth; siddhiḥmystic perfection; ca—and; vṛddhiḥglory; ca—and; bhuktiḥsense gratification; muktiḥliberation; gṛhe gṛhe—at every home; vīthyāṃ vīthyām—on every pathway; luṭhanti—roll on the ground; iva—as if; tad-icchāthe desire; kasyacin—of someone; na—not; hi—indeed.

English translation of verse 1.12.39:

Wealth, mystic powers, glory, sense gratification, and liberation rolled about on the ground in every home and on every pathway. No one had any desires left to be fulfilled.
