The Garga-samhita Verse 1.12.34, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 12 (Description of Shri Nanda’s Festival) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

दधि-क्षीर-घृतैर् गोपा
गोप्यो हैयङ्गवैर् नवैः
शिशिचुर् हर्षितास् तत्र
जगुर् उच्चैः परस्परम्

dadhi-kṣīra-ghṛtair gopā
gopyo haiyaṅgavair navaiḥ
śiśicur harṣitās tatra
jagur uccaiḥ parasparam

dadhiwith yogurt; kṣīramilk; ghṛtaiḥ—and ghee; gopāḥthe gopas; gopyaḥgopīs; haiyaṅgavair navaiḥ—with fresh butter; śiśicuḥ—sprinkled; harṣitāḥ—jubilant; tatra—there; jaguḥ—sang; uccaiḥloudly; parasparam—together.

English translation of verse 1.12.34:

Then the happy gopas and gopīs sprinkled each other with fresh butter and loudly sang.
