The Garga-samhita Verse 1.12.2, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. स-विधि जातकं कृत्वा
नन्द-राजो महा-मनाः
विप्रेभ्यो दक्षिणाभिश् च
मुदा लक्षं गवां ददौ

sa-vidhi jātakaṃ kṛtvā
nanda-rājo mahā-manāḥ
viprebhyo dakṣiṇābhiś ca
mudā lakṣaṃ gavāṃ dadau

sa-vidhifollowing tradition; jātakam—the birth ceremony; kṛtvā—having done; nanda-rājaḥKing Nanda; mahā-manāḥ—who had a noble-heart; viprebhyaḥ—to the brāhmaṇas; dakṣiṇābhiḥ—with priestly rewards; ca—also; mudāhappily; lakṣam—a hundred thousand; gavām—cows; dadau—gave.

English translation of verse 1.12.2:

When the traditional birth-ceremony was performed, noble-hearted King Nanda happily gave the brāhmaṇas a hundred thousand cows as dakṣiṇā.
