The Garga-samhita Verse 1.11.39, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 11 (Description of Shri Krishnacandra’s Birth) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्रुत्वा युवाभ्यां कथितं तदैव
भूयस् सुतस् त्वत्-सादृशः किलावयोः
तथास्तु चोक्त्वाथ गते मयि प्रजा-
पती ह्य् अभूत स्व-कृतेन दम्-पती

śrutvā yuvābhyāṃ kathitaṃ tadaiva
bhūyas sutas tvat-sādṛśaḥ kilāvayoḥ
tathāstu coktvātha gate mayi prajā-
patī hy abhūta sva-kṛtena dam-patī

śrutvāheard; yuvābhyām—by you both; kathitam—said; tadāthen; eva—indeed; bhūyaḥ—will be; sutaḥson; tvatYou; sādṛśaḥlike; kilaindeed; avayoḥ—of us; tathā—so; astube it; ca—also; uktvā—saying; atha—then; gate—gone; mayiwhen I; prajā-patīprajāpatis; hi—indeed; abhūtabecame; sva-kṛtena—by that deed; dam-patīman and wife.

English translation of verse 1.11.39:

Hearing this, you both said, "May we have a son like You." I said, "So be it,"

and left. Then you became a prajāpati couple.
