The Garga-samhita Verses 1.10.18-19, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

कंसो गृहीत्वाथ गदां
पितुह् सेनां ममर्द ह
कंसस्य गदया स्पृष्टह्
केचिच् छिन्न-ललाटकाह्
भिन्न-पादा भिन्न-मुखाश्
छिन्नांसास् छिन्न-बाहवह्
अधो-मुखा ऊर्ध्व-मुखाह्
स-शस्त्राह् पतिताह् क्षणात्

kaṃso gṛhītvātha gadāṃ
pituh senāṃ mamarda ha
kaṃsasya gadayā spṛṣṭah
kecic chinna-lalāṭakāh
bhinna-pādā bhinna-mukhāś
chinnāṃsās chinna-bāhavah
adho-mukhā ūrdhva-mukhāh
sa-śastrāh patitāh kṣaṇāt

kaṃsah—Kaṃsa; gṛhītvāgrasping; athathen; gadām—a club; pituh—of his father; senām—the army; mamarda ha—crushed; kaṃsasya—of Kaṃsa; gadayā—by the club; spṛṣṭah—touched; kecit—some; chinnabroken; lalāṭakāh—foreheads; bhinnabroken; pādāh—legs; bhinna—broken; mukhāh—faces; chinna—broken; aṃsāh—shoulders; chinna—broken; bāhavah—arms; adhahbowed down; mukhāh— faces; ūrdhvaup; mukhāh—faces; sa—with; śastrāh—weapons; patitāh—fallen; kṣaṇāt—in a moment.

English translation of verses 1.10.18-19:

Then Kaṃsa took his club and crushed his father's army. Touched by his club, in a moment many fell with their weapons, their faces down or up, and their foreheads, legs, faces, shoulders, or arms broken.
