The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.15, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

कंसस्य दुराभिप्रायं
दृष्ट्वोत्तस्थुर् महा-भटाह्
उग्रसेनानुगा रक्षं
चक्रुस् ते खड्ग-पाणयह्

kaṃsasya durābhiprāyaṃ
dṛṣṭvottasthur mahā-bhaṭāh
ugrasenānugā rakṣaṃ
cakrus te khaḍga-pāṇayah

kaṃsasya—of Kaṃsa; durābhiprāyam—the wicked plan; dṛṣṭvāseeing; uttasthuh—rose; maha-bhaṭāh—great soldiers; ugrasenānugāh—followers of Ugrasena; rakṣam—protection; cakruh—did; te—they; khaḍgaswords; pāṇayah—in hand.

English translation of verse 1.10.15:

Seeing Kaṃsa's demonic intentions, with swords in their hands, Ugrasena's soldiers protected (Vasudeva and Devakī).
