The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तदाम्बराद् आगतं मां
नत्वा पूज्योग्रसेनजह्
पप्रच्छ देवाभिप्रायं
प्रावोचं तं निबोध मे

tadāmbarād āgataṃ māṃ
natvā pūjyograsenajah
papraccha devābhiprāyaṃ
prāvocaṃ taṃ nibodha me

tadāthen; ambarāt—from the sky; āgatam—come; mām—me; natvā—bowing; pūjyaworshiping; ugrasenajah—Kaṃsa; papraccha—asked; devaof the demigods; abhiprāyam—intention; prāvocam—i told; tam—him; nibodha—learn; me—from me.

English translation of verse 1.10.7:

Then I came there from the sky. Kaṃsa bowed before me, worshiped me, and asked me about the demigods' plans. I said to him, "Learn this from me.
