पतितो ऽपि स वज्राङ्गः
किञ्चिद्-व्याकुल-मानसः
स्फुरद्-ओष्ठो ऽति-रुष्टाङ्गि
युद्ध-भूमिं समाययौ
patito 'pi sa vajrāṅgaḥ
kiñcid-vyākula-mānasaḥ
sphurad-oṣṭho 'ti-ruṣṭāṅgi
yuddha-bhūmiṃ samāyayau
patito—fell; api—although; sas—he; vajra—lightning; aṅgaḥ—body; kiñcid—
English translation of verse 1.7.49:
somewhat; vyākula—upset; mānasaḥ—ay heart; sphurad—trembling; oṣṭho—lips;
ati-ruṣṭāṅgi—very angry; yuddha-bhūmiṃ—to the battleground; samāyayau—
went.
His body hard as a thunderbolt, when he fell he was only a little upset in his heart. Angry, and his lips trembling, he returned to the battleground.
