The Garga-samhita Verse 1.7.40, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 7 (Description of the Conquest of All Directions) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

बाणं च वसवो रुद्रा
आदित्या ऋभवः सुराः
जघ्नुर् नाना-विधैः शस्त्रैः
सर्वतो ऽद्रिं यथा गजाः

bāṇaṃ ca vasavo rudrā
ādityā ṛbhavaḥ surāḥ
jaghnur nānā-vidhaiḥ śastraiḥ
sarvato 'driṃ yathā gajāḥ

bāṇaṃto Bāṇa; ca—also; vasavo—the Vasus; rudrās—the Rudras; ādityās

English translation of verse 1.7.40:

the Adityas; ṛbhavaḥ—the Ṛbhus; surāḥ—the Suras; jaghnur—struck; nānā-vidhaiḥ—with many kinds; śastraiḥ—with weapons; sarvato—everywhere;

adrim—a mountain; yathā—as; gajāḥ—elephants.

Surrounding him as a host of elephants might surround a mountain, the Vasus, Rudras, Adityas, Ṛbhus, and Suras attacked Bāṇāsura with a great variety of weapons.
