गजांस् तुरङ्गान् स-रथान्
वीरान् भूमौ निपात्य च
जगर्ज घनवद् वीरो
गदा-युद्धे मृधाङ्गने
gajāṃs turaṅgān sa-rathān
vīrān bhūmau nipātya ca
jagarja ghanavad vīro
gadā-yuddhe mṛdhāṅgane
gajān—the elephants; turaṅgān—horses; sa-rathān—with chariots; vīrān—
English translation of verse 1.7.22:
warriors; bhūmau—to the ground; nipātya—knocking; ca—also; jagarja—roared;
ghanavad—like thunder; vīro—hero; gadā—club; yuddhe—in the fight; mṛdhā-aṅgane—in the battlefield.
