The Garga-samhita Verse 1.7.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. बाणासुरस् तत्-प्रतिज्ञां
श्रूत्वा क्रुद्धो ह्य् अभूद् भृशम्
तताड लत्तां भू-मध्ये
जगर्ज घनवद् बली

bāṇāsuras tat-pratijñāṃ
śrūtvā kruddho hy abhūd bhṛśam
tatāḍa lattāṃ bhū-madhye
jagarja ghanavad balī

English translation of verse 1.7.8:

angry; hi—certainly; abhūd—became; bhṛśam—very; tatāḍa—struck; lattām—a kick; bhū-madhye—on the ground; jagarja—roared; ghanavad—like thunder;

balī—powerful.

When he heard Kaṃsa's offer, powerful Bāṇāsura became very angry. He kicked the ground and roared like thunder.
