The Garga-samhita Verse 1.7.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 7 (Description of the Conquest of All Directions) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

हे देव युद्ध-कङ्क्षास्ति
क्व यामि त्वं वदाशु मे
प्रोवाच तं तदा गच्छ
दैत्यं बाणं महा-बलम्

he deva yuddha-kaṅkṣāsti
kva yāmi tvaṃ vadāśu me
provāca taṃ tadā gaccha
daityaṃ bāṇaṃ mahā-balam

English translation of verse 1.7.6:

where?; yāmi—I go; tvam—you; vada—tell; āśu—quickly; me—to me; provāca—

said; taṃ—to him; tadā—then; gaccha—go; daityaṃ—to the demon; bāṇaṃ

Bāṇa; mahā-balam—very powerful.

He said, "O lord, I yearn to fight. Where should I go?" I said to him, "Go to the very powerful demon Bāṇāsura."
