स्त्रिया सार्धम् अहं युद्धं
न करोमि कदाचन
बकासुरः स्यान् मे भ्राता
त्वं च मे भगिनी भव

striyā sārdham ahaṃ yuddhaṃ
na karomi kadācana
bakāsuraḥ syān me bhrātā
tvaṃ ca me bhaginī bhava

striyāa woman; sārdham—with; aham—I; yuddham—a fight; na—not; karomi—I do; kadācana—ever; bakāsuraḥBakāsura; syāt—has become; me—my; bhrātā—brother; tvam—you; ca—and; me—my; bhaginīsister; bhavashould be.

English translation of verse 1.6.63:

"I will never fight with a woman. Bakāsura has become my brother, so you should be my sister."
