The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.61, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 6 (Description of Kamsa’s Strength) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

कंसो बकं सङ्गृहीत्वा
पातयित्वा मही-तले
कराभ्यां भ्रामयित्वा च
युद्धे तं विचकर्ष ह

kaṃso bakaṃ saṅgṛhītvā
pātayitvā mahī-tale
karābhyāṃ bhrāmayitvā ca
yuddhe taṃ vicakarṣa ha

kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; bakamthe duck; saṅgṛhītvā—grasping; pātayitvā—threw; mahī-tale—on the ground; karābhyām—with both hands; bhrāmayitvā—spun around; ca—also; yuddhe—in the fight; tam—it; vicakarṣa ha—dragged.

English translation of verse 1.6.61:

Kaṃsa grabbed Bakāsura and threw it to the ground. As they fought, Kaṃsa grabbed it with both hands, whirled it around, and dragged it here and there.
