जघान मुष्टिनारिष्टं
कंसो वै दैत्य-पुङ्गवः मूर्छितं तं विनिर्जित्य
तेनोदीचीं दिशं गतः
jaghāna muṣṭināriṣṭaṃ
kaṃso vai daitya-puṅgavaḥ mūrchitaṃ taṃ vinirjitya
tenodīcīṃ diśaṃ gataḥ
jaghāna—struck; muṣṭinā—with fist; ariṣṭam—Ariṣṭa; kaṃsaḥ—Kaṃsa; vai—indeed; daitya—of demons; puṅgavaḥ—the best; mūrchitam—fainted; tam—him; vinirjitya—defeating; tena—by that; udīcīm—north; diśam—direction; gataḥ—went.
English translation of verse 1.6.49:
With a single punch the great demon Kaṃsa made Ariṣṭa fall unconscious.
After this victory Kaṃsa went to the north.
