The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.30, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 6 (Description of Kamsa’s Strength) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

तेनैवाथ गतः कंस
ऋष्यामूक-वनं ततः
तत्र केशी महा-दैत्यो
हय-रूपी घन-स्वनः

tenaivātha gataḥ kaṃsa
ṛṣyāmūka-vanaṃ tataḥ
tatra keśī mahā-daityo
haya-rūpī ghana-svanaḥ

tena—by this; eva—indeed; athathen; gataḥwent; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; ṛṣyāmūka-vanam—to Ṛṣyāmūka forest; tataḥthen; tatra—there; keśīKeśī; mahā-daityaḥa great demon; haya-rūpīin the form of a horse; ghana-svanaḥthundering.

English translation of verse 1.6.30:

Then Kaṃsa went to Ṛṣyamūka forest, where there was a great demon named Keśī, who had the form of a horse whinnying like thunder.
