The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 6 (Description of Kamsa’s Strength) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

दिव्येषु शत-वर्षेषु
व्यतीतेषु पितामहः
अस्थि-शेषं स-वाल्मीकं
वरं ब्रूहीत्य् उवाच तम्

divyeṣu śata-varṣeṣu
vyatīteṣu pitāmahaḥ
asthi-śeṣaṃ sa-vālmīkaṃ
varaṃ brūhīty uvāca tam

divyeṣu—celestial; śataa hundred; varṣeṣu—years; vyatīteṣu—passed; pitāmahaḥ—Brahmā; asthionly bones; śeṣam—remaining; sa-vālmīkam—with an anthill; varambenediction; brūhi—say; iti—thus; uvāca—said; tam—to him.

English translation of verse 1.6.5:

When a hundred celestial years had passed all that remained of him was bones in an anthill. Then Brahmā said to him, Ask for a benediction," and Kālanemi spoke a reply.
